Black Friday sales might still be a little way off, but trust us — now is the perfect time to get your shopping game plan sorted.

If history has taught us anything (and by history, we mean the serious shopping we’ve done in the past), the best bargains go fast, and a little prep now can save you serious cash (and stress) later.

Firstly, plan ahead! Are you hanging out for the right sale so that you can finally buy a new home appliance? Have your eye on some fashion or beauty items ahead of Christmas?

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday was traditionally acknowledged in the United States as the day after Thanksgiving (which is on the fourth Thursday in November). It signals the end of Thanksgiving and the start of the Christmas and holiday season.
While this is still applicable, it’s become increasingly associated with huge sales and deals from major online and in store retailers.

When does the Black Friday sale start and end?

This year, Black Friday will start on Friday, 28th November. Usually sales will run from Friday until Sunday, and be followed by ‘Cyber Monday’ sales on Monday 1st December.
However, many retailers will start sales early, and extend them well past Cyber Monday.

Is there a Black Friday sale in Australia?

While it originated in the US, Aussies are now also collecting the benefits of retailers Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Both local and international stores are likely to offer sales, so be sure to have your favourite items added to a wishlist ahead of time!
