According to online court records from the New York Suffolk County Supreme Court, a judgment of divorce was filed on June 12, which was uploaded to their website on June 23. The case is now listed as ‘Disposed.’

Deborra-Lee filed for divorce on May 23, as reported by The Daily Mail.

The outlet reported that her lawyer, Elena Karabatos, submitted findings regarding a certificate of dissolution, a proposed judgement of the divorce, a notice to continue the coverage of healthcare, a proposed qualified medical child support order, and a New York state case registry to report child support orders.

“A settlement was reached that Deborra is pleased with, which includes a handsome spousal support payment,” a source also told the publication at the time.

“There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement, but in the end, she got what she believed she deserved. Both are coming out of this financially secure. There is not going to be any drama with this gives closure that she needed.”

While reports speculated on how their $250 million fortune was going to be divided, another source told the outlet that the couple were “amicable” and it was non-contested.

They co-own several properties around the world, including properties in New York and multi-million dollar penthouses in both Sydney and Manhattan.

“They have worked out the details in advance and everything is ironed out in terms of a settlement, alimony, and the expenses for the future of their children,” the source added.

What has Deborra-Lee Furness said about her divorce from Hugh Jackman?

Along with the news about the filing, Deborra-Lee released a formal statement where she reflected upon the end of her marriage.

“My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” she exclusively told The Daily Mail.

“It’s a profound wound that cuts deep; however, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.”

“This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.

“It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values, and boundaries is liberation and freedom.”

She added that she learned that “none of this is personal” and that everyone was on their own journey.

“We are drawn to people, we invite them in, in order to learn our lessons and to recognise and heal the broken parts of ourselves…I remain grateful,” she continued.

This isn’t the first time that Deborra-Lee has spoken about the divorce. In January, she spoke with The Advertiser about her next chapter as a single woman.

“It’s kind of exciting,” she said at the time. “You know what, change, transition, evolution is a little frightening, and we are all a bit scared of it, but I think it is probably our greatest gift.”

Moving on

This update follows after Hugh hard-launched his new relationship with his former Broadway co-star Sutton Foster in January 2025.

Insider sources exclusively told New Idea in May that the Wolverine actor all but moved Sutton into the New York penthouse apartment he previously bought with his ex-wife.

Prior to the divorce filing, a source also told the Daily Mail that Deborra-Lee allegedly requested a larger settlement sum, due to the “murky origins” of her ex-husband’s relationship with Sutton.

“While he didn’t physically cheat on her with Sutton, Deborra-Lee believes they were having an emotional affair and she feels he betrayed her,” the insider said in March 2025.

Two months prior to that, another insider source told the publication that they planned to officially file for divorce prior to Christmas in 2024, which was delayed by Hugh’s new relationship dominating headlines across the globe.

“When they got married, they thought it would be forever. Who doesn’t? At the time, neither of them expected Hugh’s career to get as enormous as it has,” they said.

“We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness,” they penned in a joint statement released at the time.

Speaking exclusively to New Idea shortly after the sad relationship update was announced, one of Hugh’s best friends for more than three decades said, “I do think their relationship changed over the years. It was passionate at the start, but then kids’ life and everything else happens.”

Fortunately, with their children now adults, they’ve spared themselves any custody trauma. And as the friend revealed, while things may be tough, there’s reason to be hopeful for them both.

“People keep saying it’s sad, but if it’s the right thing for both of them, then it’s not sad at all,” the insider source also shared with New Idea exclusively.

“Hugh did, and does, adore Deb, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay together forever.”
